County Government of Kajiado through the Department of Public Service together with the State Department for Devolution is holding a Mid-Year Performance assessment exercise meeting to assess progress, reevaluate priorities, and adjust plans for the remainder of the year.
The meeting was officially opened by CECM Health Services Alex Kilowua and his Counterpart for Gender ,Culture and Tourism Jeremiah Ole Ncharo ,Chief Officers Health taking the lead today , Human Resources Winfred Taiko together with the Devolution assessors , Directors and Technical teams are in attendance.
“The 47 counties will be ranked based on value, adherance to County Government Act and the Public Finance Management Act and other guidelines set. The ranking will determine the amount that will be received in level 2 KDSP grant with which counties can decide on the projects to invest the funds in,” said Human Resource Winfred Taiko .
County Director of Human Resources Management and Development, Ms Winfred Taiko has assured the stakeholders that the County has strengthened its systems to streamline service delivery in the devolved functions.
She also encouraged the departments of the key results areas to share the skills they have gained with fellow employees to further streamline services at the departments.
KDSP is a program geared towards strengthening capacity at the National and County Government levels for improved devolved service delivery on the areas of Public Financial Management; Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation; Human Resources Management, Civic Education and Public Participation and Environmental and Social Safeguards Systems.
